Book Review 0f We Will Meet Again

We Will Meet Again by Tarang Sinha is a romantic novel. This novel has beautiful sides of love, relationships, marriage, sisterhood, woman empowerment and parenthood.

we-will-meet-again1.jpg

Cover- The cover surely is eye catching and has soft colour scheme that mesmerises the readers.

Title- The title is enthralling and the way we come to know the literal meaning of it in the end is just perfect. A well thought title.

Blurb- We will meet again is the story of Paridhi, a mass media student in Delhi. Life for Paridhi is all about course assignments, lost pen drives and urgent submissions. Harried and running against an unexpected deadline, she bumps into Abhigyan, a young, good-looking, wealthy young man – every girl’s dream. This meeting however isn’t one bit romantic. She meets him again at her best friend’s wedding. While he is clearly falling for her she is rude and angry and rebuffs him all the way. However, Abhigyan is not one to give up easily.

Setting- The settings taken up in the novel is mind blowing. I am personally connected to Jalandhar as its my hometown and the way the author has told about Punjabi weddings is completely amazing. Every Punjabi can relate to it. Then the Delhi and Mumbai sequences are brilliant.

Plot- The plot construction is simple and gripping. It is devoid of any digressions. This is a story of PAridhi whose life journey from a mass student to an independent Magazine Editor is delineated in the book. In this course we come across, Abhigyan who enlightens Paridhi’s life in the most interesting way.

Themes- This novel has many themes and the way they cover every segment is impeccable. The major theme highlighted in this novel is Marriage. The story starts with a marriage sequence of Paridhi’s friend where she comes across Abhigyan closely. THen, the other side is of PAridhi and Abhigyan’s wedding.

Love- HAte Relationship-PAridhi and Abhigyan share a love hate relationship which looks beautiful as well as entertaining. The way they argue over things and end up caring or helping each other is worth reading.

Friendship- This book is a celebration of friendship and the way Paridhi and her best friend stay is commendable. Both are each other’s confidantes and the way they stay with each other can remind you of your own best friend.

Parenthood- Paridhi is raised by her father who helps her in many ways. He always encourage her to do things and is proud of her. When he gets terribly sick, Paridhi turns no stone unturned to save him.

Sisterhood- Paridhi shares a close bond with her sister and that is why she takes her to her friend’s wedding. She always guard  her like her own child. She even instructs her like a mother and shares secrets with her like her friend. When she wears her dress after she comes back from hostel is sweet. The sisters bond is very co- relatable.

Characterisation- The author has beautifully mastered in creating her characters. It can be said that the author has used limited characters and mastered them. The main characters turn out to be the best. Paridhi is an amazing girl who has dusky skin and is doing mass communication. She is an interesting character who is always busy in her tests, assignments and the way she look at things is different. She doesn’t trust anybody easliy because of a terrible past.  She is a true friend, caring sister, adorable daughter. Abhigyan brings change in her life and tries his best to sort her notions.

Abhigyan is a rich guy with a drastic life which he never shares with anyone. He is helpful, caring, handsome and witty at the same time. When he comes across Paridhi, he is surprised to see a simple girl and the way she refuses him all the time. This boost him and he challenges her to win her heart. He takes care of everybody and becomes the apple of everyone’s eyes.

Style- The author has used simple language to convey her transparent thoughts. The story is written in first person narrative. Some sentences are simply amazing. There are certain editing errors which looks like some black spots in the beautiful book. It is not a fairy tale but a common story told in a unique way.

Why I Liked the Book?

I am a Punjabi, Jalandharite and can relate to the location pretty well.

The relations like father- daughter, sisterhood are co- relatable and one can feel that its their story.

Book Review of The Three Wise Monkeys

The Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Gian is a light hearted novel flavoured with humor and loads of puns. This novel shows us that the author has planned to laugh our hearts out while reading.

Cover- The cover has light coloured scheme and perfectly proves the motive as it has three monkeys in the most wierdest poses which will surely make you laugh. This gives us an idea about the element of humor being a major part.

Title- The title is witty and grabds the attention of the reader. Three Wise Monkeys is an apt title which is a pun intended by the author.

Blurb- The trio – Amar, Akbar, and Anthony – had no clue whatsoever about their goddammit indecisive careers – and – indefinite – struggles.

And that was because they were born with the Peter Pan Syndrome and were simple enough to be tricked by anyone, including their mystifying girlfriends – Meghna, Farah, and Sarah.

And as is the fate of all morons, they were drawn into trouble – deep trouble – of hiding crores of rupees of black money in secret offshore companies.

Will their mistake of turning a blind eye to the philosophy of ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ cost them their careers and put them in prison?

Or

Will Lady Luck change their fortunes forever?

Plot- The plot is gripping as it revolves around the lives of three people Amar, Akbar and Anthony and the way they handle the situations in the most humourous ways. They have serious issues but always tackle them with their witty attitude even if they are in grave trouble.

HUmour as an Element- The author has artisitically added humour in his novel and the use of witty dialogues related to politics and bollywood is appreciable.

Theme- The themes of relationships, love, comedy, corruption can be noticed in this novel.

Characterisation- The author has crafted his characters artistically. All have their own stories be it Amar, Akbar, Anthony or their girlfriends. The way the girlfriends play with them makes the readers pity them sometimes. The situations created are extremely serious but depicted in a light manner.

Style- The style of author is simple, lucid and pithy. The way he has used puns, witty sentences, comedy of manners is mind blowing. The readers end up with hearty laughter in the end.

Book Review of Flavours of India

Flavours of India by Pulkit Gupta is a collection of sixteen short stories bringing in the wide variety that the country is known for. The authors have inked in different perspectives and the hidden practices of the various parts of the country. India still continues to puzzle the visitors with its unexplored terrains, however the stories in this collection have attempted to uncover the blanket a little bit and let you peep in. You will notice how several parts of the country are still lurking in the dark-superstitions, child education, poverty, women safety, child marriages, dowry practices, political turmoil, communal riots, terrorism are some problems that the country faces. So is the Incredible India really incredible?

51IM4bnMfHL.jpg

The stories are beautifully woven and all have highlighted a certain place and its environment. The authors have used their styles and techniques of writing starting from stream of consciousness to flashbacks to descriptive techniques. The cover of the book is colourful and fantastic with a picture of Taj Mahal that talks about a story set up in Agra. The title of the book is mind blowing and it clearly satisfies the purpose of making up this anthology.

Land of SPices by NIdhi Parikh is a beautiful poem that has all the elements of poetry including similes, metaphors and has a wonderful literal meaning.

Zaffron by Abhishek ‘Atul’ takes me back to my own visit to KAshmir. The descriptions are well written and the story of Kashmiri Pandits and the others is heart warming and the way Zaffron name is used takes away the hearts of the readers.

When Avarice Strikes by Mangala gives us a fowl picture of child marriage, domestic violence in a small Tamil village. The traditions are main focus and the way they are ruthlessly followed is being delineated and the readers end up in tears after reading this tale.

The Way We See by Shikha KAul elucidates a story about a journalist and a man. The story is all about different perspectives towards life and it stores a deeper message in the end.

A Pious Endearment by KInshuk Gupta’Vitaan’ takes us to the city of dreams, Mumbai and we come across two people who are made for each other and destiny plays all the games to bring them together.

A Ray of Hope by Himanshi ‘Nandi’ is a story of Asha and her struggle. The way she changes her life by helping people and the return gift she gets is miraculous.

A Spicy Kerala Honeymoon by Durgesh Shastri is an erotic tale of a couple who come on a honeymoon. They are poles apart and when they come across each other they began to love and respect each other more.

The Gujju Gyan by Rachna Sheth takes to the Gujju environment and we can best relate to the most loved show ‘Tarak MEhta ka OOlta CHashma’. The story of dreams, fun and the way the author has written that poem is marvalous.

The Accursed Land by Siddharth Jain is a typical domestic story that focusses on Anirudh and his dreams.

Baisakhi by Mehek Bassi takes us to the land of five rivers, Punjab and crafts her story in Ludhiana where a teenage punjabi boy tries hard to make a dead car work. He is diabled and the way he takes initiatives is really motivating.

Eroding Shackles by Kumar Vikrant is a story that elucidates different set of people with some dreams in their eyes and they meet at a same place where destiny takes us to main characters Rashmi and Karan.

THe Harvest Moon by Mangala again talks about the lives of the Tamils and the way things take place.

Roots by Harshita Shrivastav is a motivating story where a girl names Aisha finds the reason of her living when she meets Dushyant, a 4th class outcaste student.

At JOurney’s End by Soumyadeep Koley gives us a tragic picture of Kolkata where a mother has to prove her child her innocence and the then the tables turn on a more tragic end.

Love in a Sea SHell by SUpriya Parulkar is a mind blowing saga of two individuals and the way the story is dealineated is appreciable.

Book Review of The American Indian Dream

The American Indian Dream by Pranay Sahu is novel full of emotions, dreams and decisions. Sometimes we tend to take such decisions which change our lives. THis book is about such decision.

wp-1476368507249.jpeg

Cover- THe cover of the book has black and yellow colour scheme along with a picture of a man who seems thinking. This reminds us of the time when the protagonist takes the biggest decision of his life. Or we can say, the time of his calling.

Title- The title is challenging and the readers think alot about the reason like why the word’American’is being striked off and why the author has not used ‘The Indian Dream’. Well, this confusion or rather say the pool of questions are answered when we read the last line of the book. We come to know the purpose of the writer while coming up with this title.

Blurb- His life was his dream. From being a Wall Street Investment Banker to being a jobless put under spiritual arrest, to being hopelessly in love with a hippie ten years elder to becoming an entrepreneur , he lived his dreams throughout his life.

Cut to 2012, destiny’s favourite child is now controversy’s favourite child. Come success, come controversy. Controversies are inevitable, one’s reaction to them, is optional. Roshan should not have reacted.

Four years since he lost his job, Roshan is now battling his life after multiple gun shots; defending his actions before a spiritual guru whom he does not like at all. But life is not always your choice. The difference between dreaming and making dreams come true is what life is all about.

PLot- The plot is neatly woven and the way the story is being depicted is appreciable. The story revolves around Rohan and his struggles. The end is a mystery which opens the chapters of history.

Characterisation- The characters played an amazing part in thi=e progression of the novel.  Apart from Roshan, there are Jagat, Ira, Hirenbhai, Silvio, Ariella aka Lakshmi, Maera, Gurudev and his henchman Farhaan. The love affair between Roshan and Ariella seems convoluted. Some characters are round here while some are flat.

Style- The author has used simple and lucid language to convey his ideas. The use of varied range of sentences adds flavour to the story. The pace of the story is languid. The author beautifully helps us in clearing some of the notions that we have about an American Dream. The concept of the book is an icing on the cake. Some lines just take away our heart.Like:

“The difference between dreaming and making dreams come true is what life all about.”

“It is indeed a dream, the American Dream, made in India”

As we know,Every coin has a flip side, hence this book has too. There are certain loose ends in the story whereas the editing could been better. But one cannot ignore the amazing concept of the book.

Book Review of Khwaishein

Khwaishein: Kuch Puri to Kuch Adhuri  Si by Pulkit Gupta is a Hindi Translation. The book has strong emotions that keep you hooked till the end and its my first Hindi novel and I don’t regret reading it.

30639048.jpg

Cover- The cover has amazing colour scheme where we notice a guy standing alone. This gives us a glimpse of solitude being the segment in the book. The colours tells us about the ups and towns that we are about to read. The ambience is ethereal and one feels mesmerised by it.

Title- THe book has a title as well as a sub title. Khwaishein means desires of a person whereas the sub title Kuch Puri to Kuch Adhuri Si denotes that the desires are just desires, out which some are fulfilled while some are not. The sub title has a deeper meaning which we get to know only after reading this book.

Plot- The plot is beautifully woven and revolves around the life of Rachit who happens to be in Engineering College but ends up becoming CA due his health issues and circumstances. The story has a flashback of Rachit’s past life which he narrates to Khushi.

Characterisation- The author has a strong hold on his characters and at times it looks as if Rachit is his mouthpiece. He is a confident carefree guy whose life turns upside after he comes to know about his illness.

Radhika is a flat character and the way she loves Rachit inspite of all the bad behaviour from his end, is breathtaking. She is a true soulmate who understands him so well and the way she gives him a new meaning to live is appreciable.

Style- The author has a simple style of writing. He doesn’t use fancy words but a simple language to convey his thoughts which touch the hearts of the readers. The use of stream of consciousness technique and monologues is the icing on the cake. The use of epistolary technique along with metaphorical representation makes the book impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed my first Hindi novel and planning to read more such.

Book Review of A Thousand Splendid Suns

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini is one of the most loved book. In this book, the author has given us a life struggle of the women in a country which was male chauvanisitic and ruled by Taliban. The book is an eye opener and is so engrossing that you can feel you are living the lives of one of those characters who are sufferers.

thousandsplendid

The cover is beautiful and highlights the girl who seems going somwhere in a desert place. Well, this picture clearly reminds us of the incident that took place in the novel where the protagonist, Mariam gets married at a tender age of 15 and is sent to some other place from her hometown Herat. The Title is adapted from a poem iwritten by Sahib Tabrezi and it is again intriguing. The title arises the urge in the readers to read this page turning book.

A Thousand Splendid Suns’ is a contemporary novel that tells a gripping story of two women with contradictory attitudes and how their decisions shape future generations. A marvelous work of fiction which brings an untold side of Afghanistan in limelight, this novel is irresistible. Khalid Hosseini has once again depicted a plethora of human emotions and beauty of Afghanistan through his distinctive story telling. These books became number one New York Times bestseller for fifteen weeks following its release and according to the author, it is a “mother-daughter story”. It won the Book Sense book of the year award for fiction and the Richard and Judy Best Read of the Year in 2008.

The Plot is well knit and the story revolves around the lives of two women, Mariam and Laila. Mariam is just 15 when she gets married and is sent to some other town to start her new life. Life is hard for her and then Laila happens to her in an accident. Rasheed and Mariam take good care of this girl but later on Rasheed marries her. Both develop an understanding relationship.

This book revolves around the major theme which is, women in Afghanistan. The author has elucidated the tough life of women It is strange like how they are treated. Mariam is a carefree girl who is a harami, the illegitimate child but she never feels so. But when her mother dies, things change for her. Her own father marries her off which bitters the relationship. She feels betrayed by the only man whom she trusted so much and till her last breath she doesn’t see him. The same is the case with Laila. She is the victim of this cruel society. When she was a child she is allowed to hang out and roam with Tariq but after she grew up she was asked to stay at home. Many restrictions were laid on her. Even she had to get married to an older man, Rasheed just to save herself.

The main characters in this book are Mariam and Laila. Both are inter related to one another. They turn out to be true confidantes and the mouthpieces of KHaled Hosseini. Other characters also played their parts in the plot construction. Both are flat characters and they remain the same till the end of the book.

The style of writing used by the author is mind blowing. It is simple, telegraphic and complicated as well. The author has used multiple languages like Pashtun which was understandable. The use of references, songs strongly suppport the agenda of writing this novel. The use of epistolary technique is mind blowing. This can be noticed in the last when Laila reads Jalil’s letter for Mariam. Further, the descriptions are realistic as they gives us a true picture of riots, war, curfews and the damage these people went through followed by those typical rules for men and women set by these Talibans.

We often hear about these issues but never thought about it deeply but this book sends us in a trance where one can feel these sufferings and yes, we do shed fresh tears whenever we read it. We feel bad for that 15 year old girl , Mariam whose not yet matured but is married off. We feel bad for all those things that these characters suffer be it men or women. This type of atmosphere and style of writing reminds of Thomas Hardy’s JUde The Obscure and Dicksian style which focussed on ‘MOmentray Pleasures’. Honestly speaking, there was no happiness in this book, all gloominess but the segment before Mariam’s wedding and Laila’s time with her teen lover, Tariq followed by the ending gives some good time to the readers. The authors note is fantastic and this gives you a better picture of the author’s point of view.

Book Review of Forget Me Not, Stranger

Forget Me Not Stranger by Novoneel Chakraborty is the last book of the Stranger Trilogy. In this book, the Stranger comes into picture and all the mysteries comes to an end. Rivannah comes to know her worth and also the Stranger. Things do change in her life but fall at proper place.

9788184007305-500x500.jpg

The Cover and Title never forget to amaze the readers. The cover has again a girl who seems completely lost in ajungle. Actually, this is the time when Rivannah is lost in her mind struggles like whom she loves, Ekansh or Danny? The title is perfect as the meaning we come to know in the end.

I m Rivanah Bannerjee, 23/F/ Mumbai. Some of you might already know how my life is on a razor edge. Those of you who don t, just know this: I may be killed soon . . . by the Stranger. I don t know who or what he is: a ghost, a person or a figment of my imagination? All I know is he isn t just one thing: he is sexy and scary, terrific and terrifying. What I don t understand is why a young, harmless girl like me, who works in a big city, stays away from her parents and has a screwed-up love life, would be of any interest to him. Unless there is something about my own story that I do not know . . . In the hotly anticipated final instalment of the Stranger trilogy, Rivanah will learn the answers to her many questions What is it that binds her to the dead Hiya? Who is the Stranger? Why has he been following her all this while? leading to an intense, breathtaking climax.

The Plot is enthralling and the way Rivannah’s life journey is shown is impeccable. In this book, Rivannah realises her worth. This book has high voltage drama. Even she comes to know about Hiya and what happened to her. And the main part is the revealation of the Stranger.

This book has an element of stream of consciousness and some tacts of epistolar novel has been used. The author has delineated the incidents perfectly. This book has a tragedy followed by answers to the hidden questions.

The style of writing is simple, clear and lucid. Some of the sentences are just so beautiful that you end up noting down in your diary. The descriptions are fantastic and they just make you more glued to the book. Novoneel has a unique style of writing as he ends up playing with the minds of the readers through his play of words. Once can picturise the whole book while reading it and its an easy read.

The cover and the title is again intriguing just like the previous one. We notice a girl who is in the middle of the jungle. Probably the cover justifies Rivannah’s dream or rather say hallucination where she feel the presence of the stranger. The title is perfect as the protagonist can feel herself close to the stanger. The subtitle is really catchy.

Blurb-

All Yours, Stranger’ is the 2nd part of the Stranger trilogy series, by Novoneel Chakraborty. The plot spins around Rivanah Bannerjee, who is from Kolkata, trying to get a grip on the typical Mumbai life. She has a wonderful boyfriend, yet is obsessed with thinking about her ex-boyfriend. Although he cheated on her, she is ready to overlook that fact. The Stranger is nowhere to be found ever since the police started to hunt for him, though it has been an unsuccessful attempt.

The questions that Rivanah wants an answer for, in this mystery allegory are; Who really is this stranger? What is his purpose of coming into Rivanah’s life? Will he ever be able to contact her again?

These types of questions have been troubling Rivanah continuously. Indifferent about the mystery surrounding this guy, she frantically wants the stranger back into her life.

As the story further unfolds, the true facts that come to light are far from what Rivanah could ever imagine. The story has a vicious and cruel plot with many mysteries unfolding themselves, as the reader divulges further into this tale. This gripping plot has the knack to make the reader bite his or her nails till the very last leaf of the book.

The plot is more dark and complex as compared to the previous part. The previous book left the clue of Hiya Chaudhary and here, Rivannah tries to uncover the mystery behind Hiya Chaudhary who happened to be her batchmate and had hung herself to death. It was believed that she also got such messages. So, a fear of being murdered by the stranger arises in the mind of Rivannah. To add more she struggling with her heart and mind. She is unable to forget her ex boyfriend, Ekansh who cheated on her and her present boyfriend, Danny. She loves them both but life takes a turn when Ekansh again makes an appearance in her life and this time as her rommie’s fiance.

The story moves between Kolkata and Mumbai as Rivannah keeps on coming back to Kolkata to know more about her past, Hiya Choudhary. She tries really hard to find the clues. She even quits her job when the Stranger ask her to do so. She doubts on Hiya’s brother but later she comes to know that he was not even part of it. He was just being used.

The characters seems more developed in this book. Rivannah is struggling and the stranger helps her find out whom she loves but that still remains uncovered till we reach the next book. Further, Danny and Ekansh’s roles keep on shifting in her life. This book has many characters along with the previous ones and together they make an amazing tuning.

The Cover and the Title surely grab the attention of the readers. The earlier cover shows a girl who has covered her face and her eyes have fear in them. This gives us a spooky picture but that is not horror. The title is surely eye catching. The hunger hunt of the reader ends only when he grabs the book and finishes it in one go.

The Blurb is intriguing. I’m Rivanah Bannerjee, a young and independent girl living alone in Mumbai. My parents love me, my boyfriend adores me and I have a great job. But heres the thing-my life is in danger. Someones been following me around, watching my every move, trying to get control over my life. At first I thought it was a silly prank to gain my attention. My roomie suggested he must be a secret admirer. Is he? What he doesnt know is the police have set a trap to nab him. Soon I’ll know if its simply a lovers obsession or there is more to it. BTW, I call him stranger.

From the bestselling author of EX, how about a sin tonight? That kiss in the rain and A thing beyond forever comes a racy tale gravid with emotional twists, relationship quirks and mind-numbing revelations.

The Plot is engaging and binds the readers till the end. The story is of an independent Bong girl, Rivanah Bannerjee who lives alone in Mumbai. She has a perfect life comprising of her loving parents and caring boyfriend. But life takes a turn when someone enters her life without her knowing and started taking interest in her life. That person is named as STRANGER by Rivannah.

The book focusses on Love, Betrayal, Relationships and elements ofa perfect suspense thriller that often plays with the minds of the readers. The Characters are beautifully portrayed. Rivannah Bannerjee, an independent Bong who comes to Mumbai to do a job. She has a perfect fairy tale life and little did she know about the person whose following her like a nightmare. At times, he is a saviour, at times, he is dangerous and she is unable to figure out what he actually wants. This is totally getting on her nerves but this Stranger helps her as well as threatens her which is totally rhetorical. She has an amazing flatmate who soon turns out to be her confidante while the latter refuses to mix up much.

We are introduced to Stranger through his acts and the way the author describes. Even the readers are confused whether its some prank or reality. He helps Rivannah, makes her independent and makes her life good by making her do amazing things which she doesnt want to do. But when she wants to know his indentity he threatens her. Still, they share some special bond which is yet to be uncovered. We are just told that the stranger has an amazing voice and it brings chills to Rivannah’s spines.

A story with Novoneel Chakraborty

We all know that Novoneel Chakraborty’s upcoming novel ‘Black Suits You’ is soon going to hit the markets. And before that, his Stranger Series took away the hearts of the readers especially that Stranger. I took this interview much before when the new book was under editing stage. The interview tookplace over telephone and I must say he conversation skills are amazing. I would like to thank my dear friend, Manvi Singh who always convert the audios into written format. She is a soul sister and I can rely on her.Lets start the interview then :

1. When did you realise that okay, this is it, this is what I’ll do, like, writing is you and those words give in relief?

The thing is, I was always a reader and not even in my distant world did I think that I’d write a book one day, since being an author was never my aim, but that curious element in me made me really upbeat about what I’d do after my college ends, though I was pretty sure that a nine to five job was certainly not my thing, and as I was pondering about my future, a character in my head started knocking, like it did not let me concentrate on anything else around me so I decided to pen it down in order to get it out of my head so I may focus on my studies but the moment I jotted my first short story, another set of characters kicked in and I wrote down a complete set of 25 stories only for myself and that’s when I realised okay, that’s my real calling.

2. What is the genre of novels you usually feel comfortable to write?
Okay, I never really sit down with a pre planned planner that this is how the story will be since even I never know how will I lead the story I am writing, but as I wrote down my first novel, A Thing Beyond Forever I realised that I’m not someone who could write a story without any twists and turns that’s how in my second novel I realised that I’m pretty good at writing romantic thrillers, like that’s something which comes naturally to me.

3. How would you define yourself as a writer, introvert or extrovert?
As a person I’m pretty introvert but probably as a writer I am an extrovert since my characters are usually bold and that’s maybe because of how I am, so I make a way to discover and explore through them. So, I too intend to live the extrovert side of me since in real life I do not do so.

4. Are you a believer of destiny? Have you ever mentioned this concept in any of your books so far?
I am a strong believer of destiny but so far I don’t think that I have actually taken it as a theme in any of my stories though it has been a part of many of them since my own beliefs do reflect back in my story and obviously, when we strongly believe in something, that belief surely comes down as an expression, consciously or unconsciously.

5. What was the thought process behind your first book, A Thing Beyond Forever?
Since that book is all about reincarnation, what excited me was the fact that what if I come back one day after I’ve died and that too into a completely different, fun version of myself. Past life and after life, all these concepts actually excite me and that’s why I feel that there can be a possibility of them.

6. So, what triggered the idea behind the famous Stranger Series?
Okay, so I did have this title with me since a long time, Marry Me, Stranger and it was an apt title for a book but I had no idea of what should be the book all about, but then there is this friend of mine who usually calls up to confide though I don’t know her personally but she kept me wondering as to why would someone confide into a stranger, someone he/she do not know personally.

7. Are any of your books reflect in your personal life?
As creative people, we all tend to observe our surroundings and the people we have all around us, be it friends, family or ourselves for that matter and basically that’s where we get a gist of what it will be all about but basically, I just use a part of it and then give a fictional dab to it so on an average I won’t say that any of the books are based on my life.

8. What was the experience while bagging your first publisher? What all difficulties did you face?
Basically, when it all started, I was kind of ignorant and when you’re ignorant you turn confident too, because you don’t know what will be served to you at that point of time. Since I was young back then, so one tends to be a bit bull headed that whatever comes my way, I’ll surely live upto it.

9. Is there a genre you haven’t written but wish to write?
It’s the Children’s books because the amount of imagination which one needs to put in and the kind of interest one has to develop in a child for that matter is kind of challenging.

10. Is there a particular pattern you use in order to publish your books, like the time gap between two books?
It actually depends on the story since there have been books I’ve written in a year or a book I’ve written in one and a half years so it completely depends on the story as in how much time it demands out of me. But being professional, I guess, six to seven months is what my publishers demand from me.

11. Do you face writer’s block?
Not really, I usually prefer cooking up everything in my head first and then get down to write usually. Like, I jot down points in my diary as and when required and then get down to frame it well, but even when there is a time when you cannot really think of a lead in particular, one should take a break and observe and introspect about things.

12. Have you ever climbed out of your comfort zone in order to write a book?
Umm, yes I have, specially my third book, How About A Sin Tonight did bring me out of my comfort zone since building up on five distinctive characters in the same book is really a tough job but in the end that book actually helped me evolve as a writer.

13. A message for the budding writers and of course, readers.
To the readers, I’d say that it’s better to read things which interests you, and not certainly the ones which are hyped because I’ve encountered a large section of readers who read things just because they are hyped.
To the budding writers, you definitely need to read a lot, because it’s only then that they’ll be able to play with the narratives and build up a character well and the other piece of advice would be, always question your experiences. Whatever you, or anyone around you may experience, one should always question it, because that gives you a chance to build in new characters.
